This is a continuation of the book suggestion series. This list includes my recommendations for parents of children with social skill issues.
According to Skills You Need: Helping You Develop Life Skills, social skills are defined as “the skills we use to communicate and interact with each other, both verbally and non-verbally, through gestures, body language and our personal appearance.”
Many children with special needs have difficulty in this domain, which often singles them out in peer group settings and on social outings. Here are my top book recommendations to help you help your child better integrate with others in his circles.
3 Book Recommendations for Parents of Children with Social Skill Difficulties:
- socialsklz :)(Social Skills) for Success: How to Give Children the Skills They Need to Thrive in the Modern World by Fay de Muyshondt
